The Company develops and sells software used in 3D simulations.

Transaction Overview:

The Company was beginning to gain market traction, especially with military clients, but it needed additional capital and distribution relationships to increase its growth rate.  The Company had partnered with a number of larger firms on previous projects and asked Trestle to help manage investment discussions within that group.

Results:

After reviewing multiple proposals, the Company sold a majority equity stake to a private defense contractor.  This investment provided both needed capital and access to additional contract opportunities.  The company that made the investment was ultimately acquired by a large publicly traded corporation.  After some amount of time the corporation approached the Company with an offer to acquire the remaining portion of the equity that it did not currently own.  Trestle also helped the Company negotiate and execute this close out transaction.
